This is just a sample of some of the feedback we have received over the years from runners who have taken part in the race.
Thanks – really enjoyed this year’s race – mince mud pie etc!
David Monk
. . . it was superbly organized & marshaled. They even ensured the weather was good. Thanks to all concerned.
Chris Wrathall
Just wanted to say a big well done to the club for today's event.
Mark Powles
Congratulations Striders on organizing an excellent event. My first 10 mile & cross country event couldn't have been better! See you next year!
Graham Leman
Big thank you to all, for a great mince pie run today, so lucky with the weather.
Terry Kitson, Hastings Runners
Hills hills hills ...puff puff, wheez wheez... mmmmmmincy.
See you next year. :)
Jason Taylor
We would like to thank all those who came out to marshall at the Mince Pie 10 on Sunday
You were all so brave given the weather conditions.
The encouragement you gave to us runners was wonderful and is certainly what kept me going anyway!
Christine Farnham,
Oxted Runners
I'd just like to say thanks and well done for organizing such an enjoyable event on Sunday ... this being my first race since school some 17 years ago! I was slightly apprehensive but it was a welcoming and friendly atmosphere ... the course was fantastic, absolutely brilliant. I thought it was a great mix of terrain and hills.

Just a quick note to say very many thanks to the Seaford Striders for choosing the Sussex Wildlife Trust as your charity this year. As Chief Exec of the Trust, and after being egged on by a fellow runner and work colleague, Cath Lang, I felt duty bound to take part…..and this in spite of never having run in a group before and never having run more than 6 miles! Still alive after the effort and at 125th perhaps it wasn’t too shabby an appearance (for an old crock). Thanks to all involved – organizers, race marshals and whoever organized the weather.
Doctor Tony Whitbread,
Sussex Wildlife Trust
Just to say a very BIG THANKS for a very well managed and (in my opinion) great fun event.
Fenwick Tunley,
Lewes AC
Thanks for organising a great run this morning - as always big thanks to the marshalls. Must admit bit harder than I expected!! However be back next year .
Ian Ward

Marion Hemsworth,

Nick Kirby
Many thanks for a great run
on Sunday.
David Moritz
Congratulations on a well organized
and most friendly event-so enjoyable.
Paul E Giles
Many thanks to all from the Striders for the excellent race yesterday - The marshals were superb and a particular thanks to those who gave up their Sunday morning lie in to stand knee deep in mud and a howling gale atop the downs to offer us all such great encouragement.
Dave Stamp,
BBC Running Club
I wanted to convey my best
thanks to all the marshalls who, almost without exception, had a few
words of encouragement for all the runners passing them by; they were
much appreciated. I haven’t done many races (indeed, last year’s
Mince Pie run was my first ever), but I do think that your race is extremely
well organised and I will look forward to doing it again next year.
Rhona Sim
Really enjoyed the race- good
mix of road and x-country. My first 10 miler and was chuffed with my
time (1.09)!
