Seaford Striders organise a number of workshops and information sessions run by local experts, to educate, coach and support our members.
These are normally been held on a Wednesday evening after the club run.
New sessions coming up are :-
Running technique and injury prevention
Wednesday 27th February – 8-9pm, Dino’s, Downs Leisure Centre
This workshop will look at different techniques to overcome common niggles and avoid injury. From stretching and foam rolling to considering running form, we will look at how to prevent and manage injuries so we can all run happier!
It will be delivered by our very own Jazz Shiret, a Physiotherapist at Horder Healthcare in Seaford.
Running for positive mental health
Wednesday 20th March – 8-9pm, Café, Downs Leisure Centre
This talk and discussion will look at demystifying mental health issues and how running can contribute towards positive mental health. It will be an important space for us, as a friendly and supportive club, to talk about how we can better look after ourselves and each other.
It will be delivered by Gwyn Carter, the Mental Health Ambassador for Heathfield Road Runners.
