Our WNS groups have been really well supported and a huge thanks to everyone for turning out in such great numbers also a big thanks to all those who have led groups.
Please read the group details carefully as there are changes to some groups for Wednesday evenings runs.
We have received very positive feedback about the variety of routes since we started rotating the start points for groups.
This is something that we will continue to do, if you have any suggestions for future starts and routes then please let the group leaders know, we are always looking for new opportunities.

With a forecast of 19c and only a 7% chance of rain there will be a gentle breeze of 5 mph from the E, so this should be a pleasant last evening out on the trails before the evenings start getting darker.

If you have any queries about the groups regarding pace, distance etc please contact the group leaders or email secretary@seafordstriders.org.uk and I will pass it on.

WNS 22/9/21  will be the Autumn Equinox Race.

Entries are now open for the Striders Autumn Equinox 5k and Junior 2.5k on Wednesday September 22nd.

Please email your entry to gmtdcjones@gmail.com stating full name and race entered 5k or 2.5k.

Race will take place over the Seaford Beach Park Run course with a prompt 6:30pm start.

Now part of the Striders CGP and age graded so please make sure you get your entries in as it helps massively with number allocation if people are already registered.

We also still  need a few volunteers for the evening to help with timing, marshalling and number distribution so if you would like to help out please let me know using the same email.

Thanks to those who have offered to volunteer so far, Anneka, Andy,  Terry, Colin, Leanne, Tracy, Julie, Rick, Sue (Tail walker). We need 4 people for timekeeping and recording (Andy, Anneka, myself plus one other) then marshals at Ice Cream Van, 2.5k turn for juniors, Maretllo and 5k turn. Numbers will be available to collect from 5:45pm at the start point.

Track Nights

Track nights have been a huge success since returning to Lewes thanks to Joel, Bev and all the Striders who have attended.

There have been great sessions with a variety of workouts.

Striders track nights will now be every Monday at 7:30pm, all abilities are welcome.

Group leaders will keep a record of all the people in their groups so we can maintain the requirements of our Covid-19 Risk Assessment and Action Plan. Details of our Covid-19 Risk assessment are available here. Please read carefully and make sure you’re social distancing.

Seaford Striders Running Club is affiliated with England Athletics and operates under its guidance.

We hope that everyone is enjoying their WNS and it’s great to see our group numbers growing and the club’s membership thriving. Please do not hesitate to bring along guests to WNS as it is a great way to introduce someone to the club. “No one gets left behind”.
