Sorry for the delay in updating the CGP table after the Summer Solstice 5k on Wednesday. It was great to see so many of you there, including some of our newest couch to 5k members. Some awesome times were posted too so a big well done to everyone. I have now allocated points to our league table (I have excluded Juniors and non members) but please shout if you spot anything that doesn’t look right.
For those of you not familiar with the Club Grand Prix, it is a series of races (or virtual events in recent times!) throughout the year where our fastest Strider (unless otherwise stated ie age grading performance, furthest distance etc) is awarded 20 points, 2nd 19 points, 3rd 18 points and so on. Everybody in the event will receive at least 1 point. These are populated in a league table. There are around 20 fixtures in total and your 10 best scores will be taken into account, if you complete 15/20 events then 5 of your lowest scoring events will be erased.
I will email out in advance upcoming fixtures. Some are virtual events, and some are paid races. If they are virtual events arranged by myself I will let you know the instructions and how to submit results beforehand.
It’s all just a bit of fun within the club – as competitive or noncompetitive as you want it to be, so please do get involved – if you have any questions let me know :)
