Then Seaford Striders have some great news for you – we are starting a walking group!
The walking group will meet at 7pm
on Thursdays and 3pm
on Sundays. The first walk will take place on Sunday 18th April 2021
Meet by the entrance to Seaford Head School, Arundel Road, Seaford
What is involved?
The walks will take about an hour and will be a mixture of pavements and off-road. Probably a couple of miles or so, but this will depend on the speed of the group.
What if I can’t keep up?
Seaford Striders don’t leave people behind. There will always be a tail walker. You will need to be able to walk at a gentle pace for the hour.
Can I bring my children?
Children are welcome on the Sunday walks, provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. The routes may include uneven paths so may not be suitable for ordinary pushchairs.
Can I bring my dog(s)?
Dogs on leads are welcome. Please remember your poo bags!
What does it cost?
We have introduced a new “Walkers” membership category which is just £5 for the year. As a new Seaford Striders member you will receive a voucher for a free Club shirt which is redeemable at InterSport, Seaford. If you are already a Seaford Striders member there is no extra charge. Under 5’s are free. 5 years to 15 years are welcome to join Junior Striders which will include our Tuesday evening
fun running activities.
How does this fit in with Government guidance on Covid-19?
Seaford Striders will be putting on these walking groups as an organised sport in compliance with its England Athletics affiliation. They will be socially distanced and all participants must comply with our Covid-19 Risk Assessment and Action Plan.
I would love to join in, what do I need to do?
If you are already a member of Seaford Striders, or you would like to come on a trial walk before deciding to join, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
giving your name, mobile number and the date(s) of walks you want to join. We will be asking everyone to book in for these walks for Covid-19 compliance.
