This year’s race will raise much needed funds for Headway, East Sussex, an organisation offering rehabilitation and support services for people with acquired brain injuries, their families and carers. Given that a brain injury can result from many different causes including stroke, tumour, assault, accident or sporting injury; this is a charity that the running club were very keen to support. The Mince Pie 10 Miler is a very popular multi-terrain event which is contested over a challenging ten mile course, and sees many entrants returning year after year for a pre Xmas work-out! Congratulations to all our participants, but especially this year’s winners James Baker from Chichester Runners & AC who completed in 58:53 and Ali Guihen from Brighton & Hove AC who crossed the line in 1:09:48.

Many thanks to our race sponsors and supporters without whose help and support the event would not be possible, David Jordan Estate Agents and Intersport (Lewes and Seaford Branches). Also on hand were Sussex Sport Photography who provided photographic coverage of the event and Sussex Sussex Sports Massage, who offered pre and post-race 15 minute massages.
