Seaford Striders take part in two Grand Prix Competitions , the Club Grand Prix, which is only open to Club members, and the Sussex Road Racing Grand Prix, which involves most of the running clubs in Sussex. The Club’s Grand Prix Representative is Chris Le Beau who keeps and maintains all the records and league tables for the Striders.
Sussex Grand Prix
The Sussex Grand Prix consists of eighteen Sussex road races held throughout the year, with points awarded based on each individual’s finishing position. A runner’s best 8 races are used to determine their final position. At least two of the runner’s races must be 10 miles or longer. There is an extensive prize list, with trophies awarded at the end of the year based on gender and age category. There is also a team competition in which every club members finishing position can have an effect on the final outcome.

Club Grand Prix
This internal Club competition is based around the same events as the Sussex Grand Prix, with the inclusion of some additional local races. The other difference is that participants only need to complete 6 events to qualify (of which one must be 10 miles or above). See the full Club Grand Prix rules for more detail.
