Club Group sessions
We run weekly Wednesday Night Striders (WNS) group sessions, check out our Facebook page for the latest up to date information and details. The below information is updated weekly usually on a Monday or Tuesday for that coming Wednesday night.
WNS Striders on 22/9/21 will be a Club Grand Prix event, The Autumn Equinox race.
With a forecast of 18c and only a 7% chance of rain it looks like the Equinox will be the perfect evening, there will be an 8mph breeze from the SW which will diminish as the evening goes on.
Sunshine is also forecast so at the sunset time of 6:58 we should still have good light and maybe some great sunset photo opportunities.
We will be holding the Striders Autumn Equinox races over 5k and 2.5k.
The 5k race will be part of the Club Grand Prix so points are up for grabs and this race will be age graded.
Start time is 6:30pm, a prompt start is expected due to the light.
Number allocation will be available from 5:45pm so please arrive early enough to obtain your number.
Junior race over 2.5k will also start at 6:30pm.
Both races will be held over the Seaford Beach Park run course.
To enter please email Graham on firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and race distance.
You will be able to enter on the evening however it is much easier for us if you have registered as it helps greatly with number allocation.
I will also have the remaining Y3P and Summer Solstice medals that need to be collected after the race if you have not already received them.
We will also have a supply of Brighton Marathon Weekend reusable water bottles for the runners to take home after the event.
We are looking forward to a great turnout and a wonderful evening.
Group leaders will keep a record of all the people in their groups so we can maintain the requirements of our Covid-19 Risk Assessment and Action Plan. Details of our Covid-19 Risk assessment are available here. Please read carefully and make sure you’re social distancing.
